OVERVIEW OF STRAIGHT DOMINOES

Straight Dominoes is the standard game played with a dominoes set. It is playable by 2 to 4 players. If playing with 4 players partnerships may be used with teams sitting across from each other. The goal of the game is to score 250 points before the opposing team or players.

SETUP

The dominoes should be all taken from the box and placed facedown and shuffled. The starting player should be chosen at random and each player will draw a hand of 7 dominoes from the pile.

The rest of the dominoes, if there are any are left facedown and to the side. They are now part of the boneyard, used later for drawing.

GAMEPLAY

The game starts with the first player. They can play any tile they wish to from their hand. This domino is called the spinner and may have other 안전토토사이트 played to all four of its sides, unlike other dominoes that can only have dominoes played to their ends.

After the first tile is played out players will then take turns playing tile from their hand. to play a tile you must be able to match one end of your domino to a matching end of another domino. If you do not have a domino that can be played you must draw from the boneyard until it is exhausted, or you can play a drawn tile.

Double tiles are played horizontally onto their matching tiles and if playing would score you points both sides score for you.

To score a player must play a domino onto the layout that makes all open ends of the layout total to a multiple of 5. For each multiple of 5 that player scores 5 points. So, if you played a tile that made the open ends total to 25 you would score 25 points.

A player can domino by playing out all the tiles from their hand. when this is done the game ends and the player scores depending on what’s left in their opponents’ hands.

Blocking

Blocking happens when no player can play onto the layout and there is no boneyard left to draw from. If this happens the game ends and the players/teams total the pips left in their hands. the player or team with the least number of pips remaining in their hand will score depending on the other player’s hands.

SCORING

Once the game ends whether by blocking or dominoing, the scoring player will score points for each pip left in their opponents’ hands. all opposing players total their pips, which are then summed and rounded to the nearest 5. The winning player/team adds this to their score before starting another round.

END OF GAME

The game ends when a team or player reaches 250 points. They are the winners.
