OVERVIEW OF ONE HUNDRED

One Hundred is an adding card game for 3 to 6 players. The objective of the game is to be the last player not eliminated.

For games with 7 or more players, two decks will be used.

SETUP

The dealer is chosen at random and shuffles the deck. Each player will also receive 3 chips to use in the game. When a player loses their last chip, they are eliminated from the game.

Each player will be dealt a hand of 3 cards and the remainder of the deck is placed face down as a stockpile.

Cards Values and Powers

The cards have values associated with them. Most cards 2s through 9s have their face values, but there are special circumstances that change this. Below are the special cards that do not follow these rules.

The ace of spades and clubs allows the player to choose a value 0 through 100 and set the play pile’s value to this.

The two of spades doubles whatever the current value of the play pile is.

All fours reverse the play direction but add no value to the play pile.

The fives of hearts and diamonds subtract 5 value from the play pile.

All tens set the value of the play pile to 100.

All Jacks subtract 10 value from the play pile.

The queen of hearts sets 안전놀이터 play pile’s value to 0.  All other Queens have a value of 10.

All kings add no value to the play pile and change no game rules. AKA they do nothing.

GAMEPLAY

The player left of the dealer starts the game. They will play any card from their hand to start the play pile. All cards are played to the play pile. Once a player plays to the play pile, they announce the play pile’s new value.

After a player plays their card for the turn, they draw the top card of the stock and pass. If the stockpile is ever emptied, all but the last card of the play pile is taken and reshuffled to create a new stockpile. The value of the play pile remains the same.

The goal is to not play a card that would make the play pile’s value exceed 100. If a player plays a card that does so they lose a chip and pass their turn.

Once a player loses all their chips they are eliminated from the game.

END OF GAME

The game ends when only one player remains in the game. This player is the winner.
